Roughly a third of our customers ask about self drive, and about half of them end up choosing a driver instead once they understand the trade-offs. Neither option is better in general; they suit different trips.
Choose self drive when
Self drive works best for short, familiar journeys where privacy matters.
- You are driving inside Quetta or a city you know well
- You want complete privacy on the trip
- You are comfortable handling parking, fuel and traffic yourself
- You have a valid licence and can provide a security deposit
Choose a driver when
For long routes and business days, a driver almost always works out better.
- The route is long, unfamiliar or mountainous
- You want to work, rest or manage children during the trip
- You have back to back meetings with waiting time between them
- You are travelling at night or in unpredictable weather
The cost difference
Self drive looks cheaper on the daily rate, but you carry the fuel, parking and risk. With a driver, the daily rate includes his service, and on outstation trips a clearly quoted allowance covers his meals and stay. For most long trips the total difference is smaller than customers expect.
